CooperVision unveils new format for Virtual Perspectives

CooperVision’s Virtual Perspectives continuing professional development (CPD) programme returns from 24 April in a new format.

For 2024, the event will be presented as a series of four online scientific talk shows hosted by professors Philip Morgan and Lyndon Jones throughout the year.

Each one-hour episode of Virtual Perspectives with Phil & Lyndon will provide an opportunity to earn one CPD point.

The first episode in the series will focus on myopia management, and will see Morgan and Jones joined by Síofra Harrington, optometrist, lecturer and researcher at TU Dublin, Winfred Thijssen, owner of Oogzorg Thijssen Optiek, and Dr Dominique Bremond-Gignac, professor of ophthalmology at University Hospital Necker Enfants-malades and Paris V Rene Descartes Sorbonne Paris Cité University.

The first episode, which is open for registration on CooperVision’s Learning Academy, will take place on Wednesday 24 April at 7pm.

CooperVision suggested the new format to its Virtual Perspectives educational programme will enable more eye care professionals to participate.

Further episodes in the series will cover the topics of: a successful lifetime of wear, presbyopia, and the challenge of improving new contact lens wearers’ lives. Eye care professionals will have the opportunity to submit questions on these topics through a survey.
