A little fun
Millmead Optical Group is bringing the Mr Men and Little Miss characters to life with an eyewear collection designed for children.Launching at 100% Optical in February 2024, the company said the Mr Men and Little Miss range will offer “frames that are comfortable, colourful and fun for young wearers.”
Collection contrast
Einstoffen will bring its new collection, Raw & Noble, to 100% Optical, balancing “wildness and strength” with “harmony and order.”The eyewear features irregular and symmetrical shapes with soft lines, while wood and titanium are used alongside gold and silver.
“Just as rough diamonds are turned into jewellery and rocks are reduced to sculptures, beauty is always there – it is just exposed in different ways,” the brand shared, adding: “It’s about balance and uniting apparent opposites to create a work of art.”
Inclusive frame design
Minus Eyewear, an independent brand designing frames for highly myopic individuals, makes its 100% Optical debut this year. The brand is only a few years old, but has recently started supplying the NHS in dispensing hospitals, where the patients tend to have a more complex prescription.
Charlotte Dickinson, founder of Minus Eyewear, shared that the brand is now looking to expand further and cater for the growing number of high myopes.
A bustling stand
Mac Eyewear has a busy show planned, with new releases from a number of the brands it supports.Central to the showcase will be the relaunch of La Matt, Kaos, and Genesis collections – bringing the ranges from Area 98 back to Mac Eyewear to build on its success with Coco Song.
Coco Song will display a new capsule collection with inverted colours and decorations available inside.
O-Six will release a new collection of 12 shapes in 12 styles and two sizes with full bespoke capability, while Outspoken Holland will show new styles, now available with a polarised clip-on.
A new oversized set from J F Rey will be at 100% Optical, along with new styles and colourways from Struktur.
Connected by an ocean
Blackfin Eyewear has expanded the Pacific line with four new optical styles. The collection features bold colours and accents in minimalist designs made from a solid 3mm block of titanium. For a soft-rounded shape, ‘Catalina’ fits the bill, while ‘Carmel’ offers a slightly flattened design.
The squared frame ‘Yosemite’ offers a subdued range of colours, and the unisex ‘Sonoma’ is available in an antiqued gold or gunmetal.
Visual contrast
Coti Vision brings two new launches to 100% Optical, offering more stylish eyewear chains in a range of materials. The ‘Duetto’ glasses chain is made from recycled acrylic and lightweight aluminium. The chain contrasts sleek acrylic, sourced from upcycled materials, alongside the delicate aluminium links.
The new glasses chains “exude modern elegance,” the brand said, and “embodies the renowned Italian dedication to quality and craftsmanship.”
The brand has also released new metal chains made from a superior grade aluminium. Made in Italy, the new eyewear chains are available in four styles, are lightweight with hypoallergenic properties.
Sun, sand, specs
Woodys Eyewear presents the Colorado campaign, set in the desert, and featuring characters who “live freely.”
The spring-summer collection brings 42 models with unique colour combinations, with a stand-out of the collection being new half-moon shaped glasses.
The women’s line has a focus on comfort, with acetate nose pads and ergonomic sides. The acetate collection features a new five-axis OBE hinge, with a gold, rose gold or silver finish. The engraving on the sides takes the form of geometric shapes.
For the men’s line, a new five-axis OBE hinge has been incorporated into most of the new models.
Materials used in the collection include Mazzucchelli acetate, titanium, and Japanese beta-titanium, while more than 40% of the collection includes recycled acetate and bioacetate.
