A 100% show

OT  speaks to organisers and exhibitors at 100% Optical 2020

100% Optical 2020 guests

“This year’s show has been amazing,” 100% Optical event director, Nathan Garnett told OT on the final day of this year’s 100% Optical trade show, which took place at London’s ExCeL on 25–27 January.

Mr Garnett confirmed that more than 200 stands filled the exhibition hall, with the addition of a range of new eyewear companies present.

“For us it’s probably one of the most important shows in the world,” said Robert Morris, founder of William Morris Eyewear.

“We believe it’s a great place to be and it’s very important to showcase our portfolio,” Safilo’s senior managing director for Western Europe, Frederic Laffort, told OT.

Education across the three-day show was organised by the AOP, with 130 different CET sessions hosted.

Mr Garnett labelled the revamped Future Practice Hub “a really good addition, allowing people to get more in-depth CET in an intimate environment in different diagnostic suites.”

“That is something that we will build on for next year,” he confirmed.
